Reading
This week Miriam finished reading Mr. Putter and Tabby Pour the Tea and started Mr. Putter and Tabby Pick the Pears. During her free time she has also been reading her kids Bible, Dr. Seuss Books and Amelia Bedelia books. She finished lesson 2 in ETC book 4 and lessons 117-119 in OPGTR.
Rebekah did the letter S in her ETC book and also really enjoyed OPGTR this week. She had a great time learning to blend words ending in "at". I think she'll continue to practice "at" words next week and begin working on "an" words as well. She is so excited to be reading real words!
Math
Miriam finished through Unit 5, Exercise 3 in Singapore 1A- she's working on position words (1st, 2nd, above, below, etc.)
Rebekah wasn't interested in math this week.
Spelling
We began the All About Spelling program this week. Miriam is flying through and has completed through Step 7.
Rebekah wanted to be involved in the fun of the white board and magnet tiles. She used the tiles and board to practice her letter sounds and to spell words ending in "at."
Bible
This week in our Bible we read about Jesus appearing to the disciples after his resurrection as well as about the persecution of the disciples.
