Week of July 12th

Week of July 12

Another fun week this week. I left my record book downstairs, so I'll skip the review of language arts and math for the most part this time. Miriam's favorite part of writing this week was working on writing paragraphs using time order words. She wrote all about jumping off the diving board at the pool.

History

This week we learned about ancient Sumer. The girls enjoyed making their own Sumerian seals out of clay. We also enjoyed the book You Wouldn't Want to Be a Sumerian Slave.

Science

The kids learned about gravity this week in Science. We did an experiment watching oil and water separate. They watched the Magic Schoolbus Gains Weight. Miriam and Mac-Mac also discussed gravity while Mommy and Daddy were away on date night.

Spanish

We reviewed family members and locations this week.

And a side of cuteness...here is Peyton joining us for school she wanted to be involved just like the big girls this week.
